<p>Equipment: frying pan, casserole dish, pot</p><p>Serves: 4</p><p>Ingredients:</p><p>- 500 g dried pasta (for example: fussili, penne, cavatappi)</p><p>- 1 tablespoon butter<br></p><p>- 1 white onion, diced<br></p><p>- 500 g sauerkraut / pickled cabbage</p><p>- 200 g cream</p><p>- 150 g grated cheese (for example: swiss, gouda)</p><p>- salt, pepper &amp; paprika</p>

Cooking Instructions and Methods:

<p>Cook the dried pasta according to instructions and set aside.</p><p>In a frying pan, add the butter and saute the diced onion at medium heat for 3 minutes.</p><p>Add the sauerkraut to the pan and saute the mixture for 5 minutes while stirring ocassionally. The goal here is to reduce the bitterness of the sauerkraut.</p><p>Now add the onion / sauerkraut and the pasta to a casserole dish and mix.</p><p>Pour the cream over the mixture, spread the grated cheese on top and sprinkle with paprika.</p><p>Bake in the oven at 390 °F / 200 ° C for about 10 minutes until the cheese is melted and slightly browned.</p><p><br></p>
