Malted Vanilla Milk Shakes

Serving Size, Ingredients and Equipment:

Equipment required: immersion blender and tall, narrow container for blending each shake with the immersion blender

Ingredients for each milk shake:

- 3 large scoops hard vanilla ice cream (optional: use a heated knife to cut blocks of ice cream to prepare for mixing)

- 3 Tbsp organic Weihenstefan milk (found in German supermarkets) or your favorite brand of whole milk

- 3 Tsp "Seitenbacher Backmalz" baking malt (found in German supermarkets) or your favorite brand of malt without additives

- 1 Tsp corn starch

Cooking Instructions and Methods:

Blend the milk, malt powder and corn starch into a slurry with a fork or whisk.

Add the hard ice cream to your blending container. Pour int the slurry and let rest for 5 minutes.

Blend until creamy and thick, but not long enough to excessively melt the mixture.

Serve.
