Spice Guide: Chinese Five-Spice

Serving Size, Ingredients and Equipment:

Mix the following in equal proportions. The flavour will be dominated by the star anise.

- star anise
- cloves
- cassia bark
- Szechuan pepper
- ground fennel seeds

Cooking Instructions and Methods:

Used with fatty meats such a duck and pork (add some salt, of course), as well as in vegetable stir-fry.
